Help Emma!

This is a letter Emma wrote for Paramore. She knows there is very little chance they will ever see it but I thought we could try. I know if paramore fans pull together we could do it so I am asking for your help to reblog or send this on twitter. Anything. I just want to give her a little happiness right now. I can’t do it on my own. Please help us help Emma.

Dear Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor,
My names Emma, I’m 21 and I wanted to share my story with you. I hope you read this one day.

Writing this now I am so broken, I don’t know who I am anymore or where my life is going to go or if it will go anywhere at all.
I have an eating disorder, I’ve suffered from Anorexia and bulimia for years now. I’m fighting, every single day I’m fighting this horrible disease. I suffered a few bad events in a short space of time, including losing my best friend to leukemia, which led to me being admitted to a mental health ward last year and this is why I wanted to share my story, I learnt a lot in there and realised that if you have something you want to say then you need to say it.

My 2 best friends set up a tumblr account for me, without my knowledge, asking for Paramore fans to send messages of support that would be passed on to me. It was amazing. The support I recieved was just the best thing in the world to me. I never really had that support from anyone apart from my two friends and so it meant the world and more to me. I have kept every single message and even today they help me fight. Those people don’t know me and took the time to help me, that showed me that there is something worth fighting for. I will never be able to thank them enough.

I’m sure you get a lot of letters of how your music has saved peoples lives. I believe it because it’s true, your music, your band and the paramore community saved my life. I felt part of something, like I belonged. which is all I ever really wanted.

I’m out of the Mental Health ward but unfortunately I’m in hospital now (“normal” hospital) due to my eating disorder and they might re admit me to the eating disorder ward. Doctors have told me that I am killing myself and if I don’t stop my organs will give up. I’m trying so hard to beat this and I believe some day I will.

I’m scared but I’m fighting and I just wanted you to know that the fans, the paramore family, saves lives. I get a lot of the strength to fight from the fans who support me and from your music. Thank-you.

I love your music, attitude and the family that has been created through it all. I know you know how awesome the parafamily is but I thought I’d share my experience. I hope you can be proud of every single one of them, I am just so grateful for the hope they have shown me and continue to do so.

Hopefully one day I will be recovered and able to see you live :)
