Help Emma!

Emma is still very weak, she is also still being tube fed.

The have to be careful with her nutrient intake as she is at risk of “re-feeding syndrome”

The doctors were talking and discussing a plan for her treatment and they have said that unless she can pull through this and get back on track then she is at a high risk of dying.

That hit hard.

Emma is trying so much to get back on track, she is going to group therapy when she is strong enough and has even agreed to go back into the eating disorder unit once she is well enough.

I have had hate mail from one person a few times now saying I am “too desperate to help her” and I should “just let her kill herself”. To this person I would like to say that eating disorders aren’t about people trying to kill themselves they are a psychological disorder used as a coping mechanism by individuals who feel a lack of control in their life. They are serious. They kill many people and shouldn’t be taken so casually. The person you are being spiteful towards is a human being, a 21 year old girl fighting for her life. I may sound desperate but thats because I am. Desperate to not let my friend lose the fight.

Thanks to everyone else who continue to show the best support ever. The next few days are crucial as Emma recieves more test results and we find out her treatment plan.
