Help Emma!

Sorry this has took so long but things have not been to good here.

Emma started having severe pain in her stomach a few days ago. We hoped it was just from her body getting used to the re feeding programme however it turns out that she was still purging when not under observation and has bad damage to her stomach.

Emma wants to recover but the eating disorder is so strong and she is getting weaker and weaker.

Emma then collapsed days later and it was found that her potassium levels were dangerously low. She was lucky to be treated on time as this can be fatal.

Emma is back on the eating disorder ward after a couple of days getting treatment in hospital.

She is not doing well. The doctors say that if she does not stop this then she will go into renal failure and eventually her heart will just give up.

The eating disorder ward can force feed her, keep her under observation and try everything they can but if Emma doesn’t get the strength to fight back then it won’t work.

Emma is the strongest girl I know and I know she can beat this she is just so tired. Please keep the messages coming as they help so much and everytime she gets one and reads it I see a spark of determination in her eyes again.

I don’t want to lose my best friend. I am fighting so hard just to keep her going right now and I am exhausted and heart broken from it all. I want to say thank-you to everyone who talks to me here and on twitter or email. I don’t think I could be this strong for her without you all <3

I am terrified but I refuse to give up on her. I cry every night because I feel so helpless and unsure. The look in the doctors eyes this time made it hit me just how serious her condition is right now. We do not know what is going to happen or if her body is going to be strong enough so the next month or so is going to be critical but I have so much faith in her and with your help I know she stands an even better chance of getting her fight back.
