We are trying to support my best friend, who was admitted to a mental health ward.
After being out of the ward for nearly a year, Emma has been readmitted when her anorexia became extreme again and she was at a dangerously low weight.
We were asking for you to submit posts of support to her. Writing whatever you like from a simple "Get well soon" to a long letter. The response was amazing and Emma herself says what a great help they have been to her and still are.
Emma needs this support again so feel free to keep sending them in because she still has a long way to go and is still fighting her eating disorder, depression, addiction and self harm.

Emma is an amazing girl, she is so strong and we love her so much. She has been through an awful time and just needs a little encouragement to keep fighting this battle and keep going down that road to recovery.
We can make such a difference.

Help Emma!

Update

Okay so last night I got a phonecall from the hospital saying Emma had taken very sick. I didn’t have any details to update here but I went to the hospital and thought I would update you guys.

Last night Emma took a very bad seizure. We don’t know what caused this, it could be dehydration, low electrolytes or something to do with acidosis. Or then again it could be a mix of these things.

Emma was very lucky to have made it through this seizure alive as she is so weak. However she is not safe yet.

Emma is being kept sedated untill they can assess if there was any damage caused by the seizure also to try and prevent any further seizures until they find the cause. A seizure could cause brain damage or heart failure especially because she is already so weak.

Emma has kidney damage and a host of other problems right now.

Last night was so scary, I really thought we had lost her and we very nearly did.

Emma is still pretty critical but she is fighting this like she has fought everything else thrown her way. Please keep Emma in your thoughts and prayers.

Right now support is so important. I don’t know what is going to happen or what the doctors or going to find/ say. I just have to have faith in Emma and I know she can pull through this.

I’m going to be 100% honest and say that I am terrified. Last night was very touch and go. Emmas body is very weak and shows early signs of wanting to shut down completely. It’s time to fight 10x harder and I just hope Emma can find the strength to do that.
